9News Queensland Senior Reporter
Jessica Millward, a seasoned journalist with over a decade of experience, has been a vital presence in the Queensland
media landscape.
Hailing from Albury, NSW, she completed her high school education on the Gold Coast. Her pursuit of journalism led her
to Griffith University on the same coastal stretch, graduating in 2010. From there, Millward's career took her to newsrooms in Rockhampton, Cairns, and the Sunshine Coast, where she reported on significant events such as the 2010/2011 floods. She later joined the 9News team, working as a producer and reporter. Her career led her to the TODAY Show in 2015 before she returned to the Queensland newsroom. In 2023, she was appointed Channel 9’s Europe Correspondent, spending two years abroad covering major international stories, including the war in the Middle East, the death of Pope Francis and the subsequent election of Pope Leo XIV, before returning to the 9News Queensland newsroom in 2026.
Throughout her tenure at Nine, Millward's reporting experience has extended to covering critical events like Cyclones Debbie and Marcia, the 2019 Bushfires, the Dreamworld Tragedy, Schapelle Corby and Renae Lawrence's release from prison in Bali, and, of course, the seismic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
