Amanda Pitt-Lythgoe is a Kabi Kabi & Wakka Wakka woman with a deep connection to the Sunshine Coast, its hinterland and the Mary Valley region through her mother.
Amanda's mother was a highly respected Wakka Wakka / Kabi Kabi Elder — affectionately known as Aunty Joy — who ensured her children were raised in Kabi Kabi Country, knowing who they were and where they came from.
After returning to Country to care for her parents, Amanda reinvigorated her artistic talents and began creating art that puts her deep interpretations of Country into every piece.
