Judging

The Queensland Tourism Industry Council (QTIC) takes great pride in delivering the Queensland Tourism Awards with the highest level of integrity and professionalism.

Led by Chair of Judging, Elizabeth Hackett and the QTIC Awards Team, Toni Kasch, Senior Events Manager, and Shae Davis, Senior Industry Engagement Coordinator, the Awards are carefully planned and coordinated throughout the year to ensure a rigorous, transparent and consistent process.

The 2026 judging panel brings together 30 Senior Judges and 10 Assistant Judges from across Queensland. These highly respected tourism professionals generously volunteer their time and expertise to assess submissions and uphold the integrity of the Awards.

The process is independently overseen by Ernst & Young, providing assurance of fairness, transparency and accountability at every stage.

Recognised as one of the most rigorous and respected judging frameworks in Australia, this process reinforces the prestige and trust that define the Queensland Tourism Awards.
